Let Construction Begin!

6.2.2023

On June 1st, Bolthouse Properties and North of the River Recreation and Park District joined together to break ground of the 22-acre Stockdale River Ranch Park. The groundbreaking ceremony for phase one of Bakersfield’s newest active community park located at Heath Road and Stockdale Ranch Drive will bring the area a variety of recreational uses within the park.

“Over the last eight years, the collaboration of our two parties developing the park concept has grown to be not only a beautiful combination of master planning, forethought, fun and recreational need, but also a reflection of what the NOR community truly is. We are thrilled to present the next NOR community park to the neighborhood and be a part of this memorable groundbreaking,” said Planning & Construction Director, Steph Thisius-Sanders, of North of the River Recreation and Park District.

The Stockdale River Ranch master planned community is inspired by the area’s deep farming roots. Bolthouse Properties has brought a modern touch to this ranch-themed masterplan community, which features several residential neighborhoods, commercial retail centers, a community park, and additional lifestyle amenities. The community park
will provide a space to run, climb, slide, swing and most importantly, gather!

“Bolthouse Properties is incredibly excited to turn our community park concept into reality. We are eager to provide this essential element of our master plan which will serve as the gathering hub for the entire community. Through our long-term partnership with NOR, we are committed to producing a well-programmed, quality park that will thrive for decades to come!”, said Brad DeBranch, Director of Planning and Land Resources at Bolthouse Properties.

Upon completion, phase one of the highly amenitized Stockdale River Ranch Park will be approximately 7.8-acres and will feature:

  • Open grass areas
  • Two (2) playgrounds
  • A basketball court
